Who we are

SJS Awareness UK is a charitable organisation established to provide information and support to those affected by Stevens - Johnson.

Syndrome (SJS) and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN) which are forms of Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs).

Our History - The idea to create a platform to support people who have experienced a form of Adverse Drug Reactions namely Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS) and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN) emanated from the personal experience of a survivor of SJS. Many are living in isolation because they have been told SJS is a very rare condition and it is very unlikely that they will meet someone with the same condition.

SJS Awareness UK started online in July 2009 providing information and support to people who have had an experience with Stevens – Johnson Syndrome (SJS) and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN) in the UK and was incorporated with companies House on the 29th November 2010 as SJS Awareness UK Ltd (SJSAUK) and subsequently became a registered charity with the Charity Commission on the 1st December 2014.
